V8 engine with a history
J&S laser Profiles have been working on a V8 engine with some history
More one off work completed by the team at J&S Laser Profiles, this time some work welding and cleaning work carried out on a V8 engine from a Formula 1 car.
This engine is a Ford DFV 204 prepared by Nicholson McLaren Engines and was in the car belonging to Ronnie Peterson. Ronnie Peterson used this engine to win the 1978 Austrian Grand Prix. The super fast Swedish driver unfortunately lost his life a few weeks later in a crash at Monza.
The current owner of this engine has requested J&S Laser Profiles services to carry out some minor repairs and cleaning, the idea is to have the V8 engine on display as a coffee table just like the Top Gear style table.
Managing Director Mark Stancombe said it is good to see these recent one-off pieces of work coming in, just like the Classic Bike Stand which will be used as a Bar.
